Iveagh Garden Hotel

Iveagh Garden Hotel is located within the gardens in the middle of Dublin City center. It is walking distance to top destinations to the Ha’penny Bridge, Dublin Castle, and Temple Bar area.

I highly recommend this posh place to stay while in Ireland. As you walk in you are greeted by the courteous Mr. Lally, the map expert and concierge. His presence made the Iveagh experience rememberable. We ended up chumming up with each other and had tea. The lobby decor has an elegant color pallet with golden details.

Sleep

All the rooms follow the same color scheme and sophisticated feel. They have multiple bed sizes to choose from, a rain-like shower, and mint beddings.

Eat

Elle’s Bar & Bistro provided a lovely breakfast and dining area. There was indoor and outdoor seating. I also made friends with the jubilee waitress who gave us a list of hotspots to check out.

Play

It was easy to get lost in the lush Iveagh Gardens surrounding the hotel property. It felt like a secret garden amongst the city surrounding it. When exploring Dublin it was difficult driving on the left side of narrow roads. I highly recommend walking or calling a cab to get around because parking was also limited.

The Ha’penny bridge is told to be a connection over River Liffey, only having cost a half of a penny back in the day. It is an engaging bridge to photograph or watch people cross. I walked across Millennium Bridge to capture Ha’penny’s beauty.

Temple Bar area is a must see colorful area with rows of different pubs and shops. We opted for delicious beer battered fish and chips for dinner.

Overview

Iveagh Garden Hotel is a modern place to stay with a fancy Ireland feel. The hotel staff were lovely and served us tea throughout the day. It was the perfect way to experience Dublin.
